Competition Company Contract
We are so excited that your dancer would like to be a part of our competitive company. The information below will give a basic overview of what to expect for the upcoming year. Competition is a fun experience for both the performer and the parent. Please carefully read this outline to ensure that you are willing to follow all requirements to ensure a positive year for all participants.
The Competition Dance Camp is required for all students to be a member of the competition Company. If any student is unable to attend the camp, they must still register and pay the camp fees to be placed on a competition team, and will be placed according to their progress made during the previous year.

Petites
$65.00 Monthly Tuition
Includes: Tap, Jazz, Pre Ballet
1 hour 15 minutes
All other teams (Mini, Junior, Teen, & Senior)
$40.00 for the first class and $30.00 for each additional class.
All Competitor dancers are required to take one Tap, Jazz, and Ballet class.
Tap 45 minutes, Jazz 45 minutes, Ballet 1 hour 15 minutes
An Unlimited Dance Pass is $150.00 per month.
*Please note that the Unlimited Dance Pass covers weekly classes, but not choreography fees or master classes.

· Attendance
Attendance will be taken each week in tap, jazz, and ballet. Failure to attend classes could result in termination from On Your Toes Competitive Company at the discretion of the choreographer/instructor/director.
Absences must be pre-approved, and are only excused for school related activities. An email request must be sent to Jennifer@onyourtoesstudio.com requesting the excused absence 24 hours prior to the class time.
Unexcused Absence I - Warning
Unexcused Absence II – Phone call to parent
Unexcused Absence III – Conference with parent – Possible termination from choreography and/or team.
*Please note that “school related” absences only apply to the performer’s activities. Attending school athletic events will not be considered excused.

On Your Toes is seeking excellence, therefore we are obtaining new teachers and choreographers in order to prepare your dancer for the upcoming successful competition season.
These are one time choreography fees only to be paid if your dancer is selected for the following ensembles:
Large Groups

Small Groups
Small groups have been moved into the schedule for Monday afternoons. This class will only be $10.00 a month, or free with an unlimited dance pass.
You will have an option on whether your dancer may be selected for a small group during camp. The small groups are a way for dancers to have more stage time, and for the performers to have an opportunity to work with outside choreographers. We will be offering several fundraising opportunities to help offset the cost of the small groups.

On Your Toes Studio is using a studio manager program which will allow you to view your account from home.
All monthly tuition, and competition fees must be paid by credit card, debit card, check, or money order. No cash will be accepted.

Note: Please note that we need 100% commitment to all rehearsals, local performances and competitions. It is imperative that your dancer understands competing is a team effort, therefore, the team is only at its best when all members are present and giving 100%.
Every team may not attend all competitions.

****Nationals will be determined based on the success of the studio competition season. We are looking at two possible competitions. One is in Biloxi, MS and the other in Panama City, FL. I will send an email before April 1st with plans for nationals. More information about the times for these competitions will be available soon.
· Requirements for competitive dancers
1. Dancers are required to attend all rehearsals unless there is a school related activity or illness.
2. Dancers must attend all required local events and competitions.
3. All decisions for the petite company will be finalized by Jennifer Odom-Townsend. We certainly understand that everyone has an opinion, but we appreciate your trust in us to make the right decision in your dancer’s competition attire, music selection, placement, and choreography.
4. Dancers will receive a schedule for each competition 5 days before the competition. Dancers should be on site in full make up and costume, a minimum of 1.5 hours before their performance time.
5. Dancers should be backstage a minimum of 5 numbers before their number at competition.
6. Competition classes are closed to parent viewing. We will do our best to accommodate preview times prior to our first competition.
7. Please keep in mind that though the recital ends our dance year, as a competition team we will have summer obligations that the dancers are required to attend including local performances, and a national dance competition.
8. Company members missing pieces of, parts of, or a whole costume, may not be allowed to participate in a performance.
9. Costumes may need alterations and is the sole responsibility of the student, the student’s guardian or parent to obtain.
10. All competitive dancers are required to take the stage for awards unless it has been pre-approved for you to leave early. When they announce our overall awards, all the girls need to be on stage to accept their awards.
